These speakers from Soundolier definately have a very high WAF(Wife Acceptance Factor). They are called the Soundolier Duo. The lamps are ideal for surround sound setup for the rear channels. Of course this is after you’ve setup your home theater system with the Evo Modular Wall Mounting System. It accepts signals directly a transmitter call the Maestro (sold separately) via 2.4GHz RF. The Maestro can broadcast the correct left/right music based on the setting in the lamps (switch for left/right). Just connect your music source to the Maestro from your Stereo/HT receiver.

The lamp contains a Full-Range 5 ¼” (133mm) paper cone speaker and it has a built-in light dimmer. There are now more and more household devices transmitting in the 2.4GHz (Wireless router, wireless house phone, etc). Interference might be an issue, but there are 4 selectable channels that might mitigate any interference.

In addition, the Duos have a mini-jack in the base; which means you can play music to the lamps from a mp3 player or a notebook computer. Each lamp has a line out, so can connect the output signal to a sub-woofer if you wish.
