Known for their quality car audio system. Fujitusu Ten produce the Eclipse TD712z loudspeakers for home audio/home theater application. These are beautiful speakers. It uses a full-range 4.7″ glass fiber cone to drive all the sound from the loudspeaker. Single driver loudspeakers are said to produce purer because the loudspeakers cover the entire audible frequency spectrum using only one driver unit. This removes the need for an electronic crossover network.

The TD712z is rated at 83.5db efficiency and has a range of 40Hz-20kHz. Normally, you would expect a single driver loudspeaker to be highly efficient. With only 83.5db, I would expect you’ll need a more powerful amplifier to drive these loudspeakers.

In a home theater setup, you can get the Eclipse TD712z-S to serve as your center channel. The TD725sw as your subwoofer.

So how do these sound? Stereophile gave it a very nice review.
