We have the DV11 , and was very very impressed with the quality of picture, we even got a smaller screen (about 8x10) thinking smaller might be better , but it looks so good, we regret not buiding a bigger screen for our outdoor Theater set up. Our ONLY let down is the sound on this projector, it is 5 watts each side, and we think this is not enough for outside use with alot of kids, looking for what to hook up for louder sound/speakers. It has a Speaker set up -which we never got into, maybe it can go higher, need to check this out.

I think its a neat idea, and the price point seems right.
My only concerns would be the quality of the picture on a blow up screen.
The 1000 lumens projector could be effected by the neighbors lights.

I recently saw an outside projector set up using the sharp vision z3000. Now this projector has a whopping 1200 lumens which could give you all of the brightness you would need no matter whether the neighbors lights are on or not.

Either way...I would need a demo before I could recommend.
