The Philips Streamium system is an expandable multiple-room wireless digital audio system that is compatible with–but doesn’t require–a PC or a Wi-Fi network. The server and client units have integrated speakers and an AM/FM tuner, and the main unit includes a CD player/ripper, a 80GB internal hard drive, and a two-way remote with an LCD. Flexible playback options allow for “Broadcasting” of the same music to all rooms , separate music in each room , and a “follow me” function that allows the music you are listening to, to follow you throughout the house. In addition, the system comes with a USB port for easy up/downloading of music, an iPod dock, Wi-Fi integration, and Gracenote CDDM lookup for downloading artist/album/track information.
