If you want to play music from your iPod to your home stereo system, you’ll have to go buy an iPod AV cable or a mini Y-adaptor to connect your iPod to the stereo receiver. Basically, you end up with a 6-ft cable tether to your iPod to your stereo equipment. Not very convenient and ugly.

You can do the similar setup wirelessly via Bluetooth with the Griffin Technology BlueTrip. Connect the base to your stereo receiver using RCA cables and connect the Bluetooth adaptor to your iPod. Now your iPod becomes an awesome audio remote to play your music collection. Obviously, the Bluetooth adapter uses the iPod for its power and therefore it’ll drain your iPod battery quicker, but that is a small price to paid for the convenience.
