The Large Big Green Egg ceramic grill is derived from an ancient ceramic clay cooker called a “kamado,” with few modern improvements. The Big Green Egg uses modern ceramics developed specifically for Big Green cookers. All the grills feature Fast Lighting, so you can start cooking in 10 minutes with no lighter fluid. Ceramic walls retain heat evenly and at precise temperature, while the grill outside surface stays cooler and is safer around children than metal grills.
According to the company, “The EGG retains moisture in foods and releases flavor unequalled by other types of cooking, indoors or outdoors, thanks to the space-age ceramics from which the cooker is made.”
Other sizes are available, Extra large, large, medium and small.
