I have had a Sleepmate for several years. It is wonderful. It makes a very steady noise that blocks out all unwanted sounds. Great for sleeping in hotels as well.

White noise sounds like rushing air and is perfect for adults, children, and babies who are having trouble sleeping.
We also have fans in the kids room and turn them the other way. But I think we’ve decided a white noise machine would be a lot less cold. I love to sleep with one as well and for me I hear EVERYTHING so it helps drown out things during the night that will wake me up.
