What do I need to do to be able to watch my cable tv on this computer? I am new to this technology and would like to know if there are any special connections or adapters I need to be able to utilize this function. Any help for this inquisitive mind?

I think all models come with a built in tv tuner so, you should be set hardware wise. The software should also be included. All you need to do is plug in the tv cable into the female jack (just like on a cable box or tv) on the left side of the monitor.
If you really need to watch or record live tv and it didn’t include the tuner hardware, you can look into getting an external usb tuner (you are not going to be able to crack this pc open an install a card). Here is a list of options:
