In tandem with the new Star Wars games released today (Star Wars: The Force Unleashed) and Nov 11 (Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels), the Wii Lightsaber will begin selling on Sept. 30, 2008.   It brings a whole new light (pun intended) to the game, along with a little danger. First of all, playing in the dark just got a whole lot cooler.  Second, you can really become one with the game character as you slash your way through the game.  Third, whatever room you play in is about to get destroyed.  Last, but least, multilayer mode is just begging for trouble.

This gaming sword uses 3 AAA batteries to power the LED light that brings the Wii remote to life. No sound is projected from the product, though I expect the Wii remote internal speaker will handle that. Includes interchangeable handle guards and is available in four colors (Blue, Red, Orange and Green)
