Febot Recharges Batteries Using Wind Power
Posted by: scooter in Concept Gadgets, EnvironmentThe Febot is a wind powered battery charger concept from Ji-yun Kim, Soon-young Yang & Hwan-ju Jeon. The idea seems simple enough. An easy to assemble product that sticks outside the window to collect wind power. Just the place the rechargeable battery (unlike the concept photo below – Duracell?) in the unit and wait for the next hurricane to come. I’m sure lots a field tests will begin soon, but it’s unclear how much power the Febot could generate. It’s propeller placement is so near the attached surface, I question how much air could pass though to generate speed? I’m sure it’s design will be perfected soon enough and we will see 20 of these on every car driving down the street…
