If you’re shopping for an FM transmitter for your iPod or iPhone, you might as well spend a little more to protect yourself against those late nights at the bar, party or wherever you where drinking.  Every state has different rules around DUI, but why take the chance.  The iBreath could save you thousands of dollars, jail time, loss of license and your life.

It’s powered off your iPod battery and to take a reading, you fold out the blow wand and exhale into it for 5 seconds. The digital readout reports your BAC within a range of 0.000 – 0.100%.  If you’re over the areas legal limit, there is a timer that can be set from 1 minute up to 8 hours in order to remind you when it’s time for the next test.

A word of caution:  The readings on the device will not hold up in court, so proceed with caution.  I also know that other breathalyzer devices require calibration throughout its life.  Use as a guideline of where your BAC is and always be cautious of its accuracy.
