If you are serious about bike riding, then put away the paper maps and look into getting the Garmin Edge 705 Cycling Computer. Though a borrowed design from the Garmin handheld and golf GPS systems, the Garmin Edge 705 is so much more. Out of the box it comes with features you’d expect from a GPS device. True navigational aids with color maps, turn-by-turn directions, advanced route planning and saving capabilities. But it also offers options that bicyclists desire; bike speed, heart rate and cadence monitors, a barometric altimeter, and wireless capability that lets you share routes and workout data with other riders. The device clamps onto any handle bar, is waterproof and with its 2.2 color screen, it’s easy to see day or night. Comes in around $500 – $600 (for the bundle).
