Get a grip with the Yaktrax traction shoe attachment. Just stretch the Yaktrax over your winter boots, jogging shoes, slippers, or even your bare feed. Once in place, steel coils give you traction just like snow chains would do for the car to truck. The product is named after the Tibetan Yak, which I guess is a Yak that never falls? A great product for anyone, but even better for the elderly that need some assistance in snow or ice. Oh, did I mention that Olympic Bobsledding Teams us this gadget… I guess it works.
