SawStop a Flesh Dection Saw Blade!

There are on an average of 10 saw accidents reported, that is people accidentally cut their limbs off while operate a saw. Well this company invented a table saw that detects fingers from the cutting wood. The technology is quite simple which compliments by a sophisticated sawstop mechanism. The table saw monitors a certain voltage drop from the spinning blade, that is if you accidentally touches your finger (conductive material) on the spinning saw blade, the saw sense that and immediate stop the spinning blade by 1/1000th of second there by prevent the accidental finger removal process. All you might get is a scratch or a minor cut and a broken saw blade but at least your still have your finger!

Just received this blade and mounted it in my Ryobi BT3100.

Using it to cut 3/4 solid oak, 3/4 oak veneer plywood, pine, both cross cut and ripping, it’s hard to imagine anything better. Quiet, splinter free. Now I want a couple more for my chop saw and a spare. Everything I’ve purchased from Freud has been a worthwhile investment. And NO this has not been a paid commercial
