Rockwell Sonicrafter – for sawing, sanding, grinding, polishing and more
Posted by sonia in Tools & Hardware
The Rockwell SoniCrafter appeals to me because of the cost savings and convenience – one tool that can saw, sand, scrape, grind, and polish.
Plus, it works on a variety of surfaces like metal, wood, sheetrock, plastic, linoleum, carpet, ceramic and stone.
What makes this tool different is the microsonic oscillating action, which means the Sonicrafter blade uses side to side motion vs. the traditional rotating or reciprocating blade of standard tools.
This oscillation technology is said to provide a more controlled and safer user experience, and because the design is compact and has no guards, you can get into tighter spaces too.
My favorite part? Because the blade spins side to side, any sawdust falls right onto the work area, as opposed to standard circular motion, which scatters debris everywhere. Sounds good to me.
