It may look like your average water filter pitcher, but the Homedics Restore Clean Water System differs from others because it uses a dual process system to not only purify water, but kill germs as well.
The internal filtration system is made up of an activated carbon and ion exchange resin filter. Just pour in water and Step 1 of the filtration process will reduce heavy metals, chlorine and some agricultural and industrial pollutants.
Step 2 takes about 60 seconds, with the system’s germ-killing UV clean technology removing up to 99% of bacteria, microbial cysts and viruses that regular filtering pitchers just don’t catch.

Its quite expensive though, its good when it uses UV light to kill germs, i’m just afraid if they use some substance to kill the germs. Just wonder what its expire date is.
