Delta has come out with a kitchen faucet that turns on with the touch of a finger.

The Pilar Touch-Activated Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet uses ToucH20 Technology to save water and energy – just touch or tap anywhere on the handle or spout to activate the water flow. Perfect for those days when baking up a storm and your palms are pretty messy.

Special sensors in the faucet’s handle and spout can sense the user’s touch and turn the water on accordingly. But, the same sensors are still smart enough to decipher when the spout or handle are simply being grabbed or pulled down – which means you can adjust their positions without having the water come on or off.

All this convenience doesn’t come cheap, though. The Chrome version will set you back $495 and the Stainless Steel model runs for $547.
