If you iPhone, iPod Touch or iPod needs a boost while on the road or in the air, the Kensington Charger has your back. The Kensington Travel Battery Pack will drive your iPhone up to an extra 23 hours of music, 5 hours of talk time or 7 hours of video. Though it will add a little bulk to the phone during talk time, it will also double as a video stand as it will keep the screen upright. Since the charger has a handy flip out USB connector, no cables are required to charge the battery. If you leave it attached to the device, the power from the USB connector will bypass through the battery and charge the iPod first, which means no more cables. For $50, you can pick up more power then you may ever need while away from the wall.

I’ve had several “battery packs” for iPods over the years but none have performed as well as this one – and none have had the flexibility of charging methods. I use it with my 80gb Fifth Gen. iPod and it gives me hours and hours of video time and since it charges the ipod battery, you can disconnect it when you don’t want to be tethered and you’ll have a fully charged iPod.

The fact that it uses a lithium ion battery instead of a NiMh battery is a BIG plus.

Excellent product.
