The Echo smartpen from Livescribe records everything you hear, say and write, and intelligently connects your notes with the audio recordings from the same meeting. There’s lots of functionality but the most useful is the fact that your audio and notes are tied together so in any meeting if you miss something in your note taking, you still have a voice recording as a backup! You’ll be the go to person at your office for key information. A quick tap with the pen allows you to playback what was just recorded. There’s also the option to mark anything you record so you can go back to a particular point in the conversation for information. You can sync your notes with your computer and share them with anyone. The pen comes with 8GBs of memory allowing you to record up to 800 hours of audio or 128,000 pages of notes. The Echo smartpen works only with Livescribe Dot Paper. You can transfer your notes onto either PC or MAC.
