This is a gadget to use to automatically track your daily movements and sleep cycles. It will help you to determine if you are getting enough exercise and sleep. Similar to NASA technology used to monitor astronauts while in space, this device’s integrated accelerometer monitors the intensity and duration of your movements, in addition to tracking steps taken and distance traveled, and calculating calories burned. It’ll even track calorie burn during activities that do not require walking. The sleep sensor fits into the included wristband so you can use it while you sleep. It tracks tiny tremors in the wrist to determine how long it took before you to fell asleep, how many times you woke up, and the total duration of time you are actually asleep, not just lying in bed. The gadget automatically uploads information to the manufacturer’s website when it’s within 15′ of the charging station. You can then monitor your readings online through a series of time-lines and graphs. The unit is no bigger than a USB flash drive and fits neatly onto a belt or in a pocket. Includes software compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, and Mac for uploading readings to the website. A 1.5 hour carry will allow the unit to work for 10 days.
