Biking in the city, sometimes you wish you had 360 degree vision. Especially with increased cars that seem distracted, especially for drivers talking on the cell phones and driving at the same time.

Nike has come up with a concept design for cycling glasses called the “Nike Hindsight” that will help riders see traffic approaching them from different angles.

Normally, most people only see about 180-degrees of forward vision, by using the curved “Fresnel” lenses it extends the riders field of vision by up to 25 per cent on each side. Beyond cycling for the daily grind, I can see these glasses as a wonderful tool for sports including track and field, marathons and even professional cyclists. Imagine riding in the Tour de France with the Hindsight and being able to see other racers approaching you without turning your head back.

Recently wife purchased a computer system and along with the store threw in a “cheap” printer. What I have begun to realize is that nothing is free, or in my case really cheap.

The cost to consumers today for printing is not the printer itself, but the highly expensive print cartridges that seem to run out quite often. Many electronic companies are realizing this.

Dell has released a printer called the WasabiTM PZ310 Photo printer. In addition to being completely wireless (using Bluetooth technology), Dell advertises this printer as being Zero-Ink (i.e. no expensive ink cartridges are required).

The printer uses AmorphochromicTM Crystals inside ZINK PaperTM to produce the image. The only cons I see to the design is the available paper sizes are not large. Hopefully producing a Zero ink “photo” printer is only the first step to getting rid of those pesky and costly ink cartridges.
Specifications

  • Eco friendly printer
  • No ink
  • Uses Bluetooth wireless technology
  • Compact size
  • Holds up to 12 sheets of adhesive-backed ZINK PaperTM
  • Available in three colors: blue, pink and black
  • Print speed: 55 seconds per print
  • Average battery life: 15 prints per charge
  • Automatic reprint button
  • Happy/Sad LED icons
  • Automatic power save mode

Once again CTA Digital have given us an excuse not to head out on Saturday night with the introduction of the realistic looking “Bowling Ball for Wii”.

To use the bowling ball, first press the release button to open and split the ball in half. Next place the Wii remote control inside and close the ball. Attach the wrist strap securely to your wrist and then insert your fingers into the three holes. Next bowl away ..

Oh by the way some additional “minor” details from CTA Digital “Even though holding and bowling the ball is so like-like to the actual sport, never, ever release the ball!”.. and ” CTA Digital, Inc. will NOT be liable for any damage to your TV, home appliances, and/or accidents caused by these accessories” :-)

Specifications

  • Included: One bowling ball Wii Remote attachment
  • Compatible with several Wii games including Wii Sports, Ten Pin Alley 2, AMF Bowling Pinbusters, etc
  • Price and availability to be announced.
  • Bowling shoes and a tacky bowling shirt not included

If your like me and your tired of spending money on batteries for yet another remote control, then the “Shake Control” is the device for you.

As indicated by its name, this remote control is powered by simply shaking the remote control. When the remote control is shaken, electromagnetic induction generates a 20-30mA current. Shaking the controller not only generates electricity but also controls the channels, on/off switch, the volume and other menus.

I am well known as the “zapper” in my house because of my rapid channel changing. Based on the amount of shaking I will have to do to change the channels, I expect that this device will add a lot of muscle to my arms. :-)
Specifications

  • Eco friendly, green concept
  • Batteries: none
  • Power: generated by a moving magnet within a coil
  • Designers: Lee Sung Hoon, Kang Sooyeon, Cho Eun Bee, Lee Junehwa and Kim Jean
  • Availability: unknown, concept design
  • Size: Unknown

So if your like my gadget buddy hoser and purchased an iPhone, your probably wondering whats with the new iPhone 3G S that makes it different from the earlier releases.

First of all the S in 3G S stands for speed. This iPhone will be much faster in many different ways. Starting with a new processor that will enable it to load applications faster. From an internet perspective, utilizing an upgraded provider 3G network it is expected to load web pages and launch internet applications up to 2x faster compared to the “legacy” :-D iPhone 3G.

Also, the iPhone 3G S features a new video camera and hands-free Voice Control. The Video camera capabilities now allow you not only to take video snaps but also allow you to edit, share, email and post them with the iPhone.

Apple’s vision is a genius as it has also provided a linkage with other products by including:

* Internet Tethering – a feature that allows you to share the 3G connection of your iPhone with your Mac and PC

* Nike + iPod – slip the Nike + iPod Sensor into your Nike shoe and start your workout. You will be able to capture time, distance, calorie burn and other information from your workout.

The bottom line is, if your one of the many people who purchased the original iPhones, is it worth spending the money to upgrade?
Specifications

  • 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus
  • Voice control calling
  • Updated 2D graphics for gaming
  • Built in Digital compass
  • Features to help the hearing impaired: VoiceOver screen reader, Zoom, White on Black display, Mono, Audio etc
