Brightec is the world’s first photo quality glow-in-the-dark paper. With Brightec paper one can print full color pictures that appear normal by day, but are luminescent at night… in full, photographic detail. The paper will charge with just a few minutes of exposure to light and will glow for hours. Brightec is also much brighter than the standard glow-in-the-dark products (10 times brighter) and its power will last overnight without a recharge from direct light. It’s safe, non toxic and simple to use (with most inkjet printers). Whether it’s having a little fun with the kids or running a promotional flyer for your business, this new paper product could have endless appeal.

A company called ZINK Imaging has developed a zero ink print technology that will bring printer innovation to a whole new level. They call it ZINK (Zero INK) and it’s a breakthrough technology that produces on-demand color images and photos – without ink, ribbons or toner. The key to this process is the patented ZINK paper, an advanced composite material with dye crystals embedded inside and a protective polymer overcoat layer outside. Before printing, the embedded dye crystals are colorless, so ZINK paper looks like regular white photo paper. The ZINK printer uses heat to activate and colorize these dye crystals. Another benefit to this technology is it requires a lot less space. A good is example is the product above that uses this new process. Here are the specs for this point and shoot camera:

* 7 Megapixel with 3x Optical Zoom
* Choice of multiple capture/scene modes and flash modes
* 2.0″ indoor/outdoor color display
* Accepts SD memory cards
* Prints 2″ x 3″ borderless, high quality photos
* Uses ZINK paper. Available in sticky-back.
* Integrated, rechargeable battery
