The other day, GadgetGrid was emailed this stat machine link and I was floored at some of these statistics. I can’t account for it’s accuracy, but it will make you think… Thanks Judy

If you are in the market for an iPhone, you may want to wait a little longer. There is no doubt this is one of the most innovative products delivered in a long time, but as with anything new, you can have issues. Apple Hound has compiled a list of about 70 current bugs/issues with the iPhone. They even documented how to reproduce the issues (This should save Apple some time). I’ve owned an iPhone since day one and have only come across a few of these issues. Some I didn’t even realize until I read the list. They are so minor, I don’t even care to notice them.

The point is, now that 500,000+ iPhones have been placed in users hands, I’m sure Apple is scrambling to address most of these bugs. In fact, they released press today to address the battery report issues (which I didn’t notice?). Should you wait buy an iPhone? My answer would be… Hell No!

If you’re upset about the bugs, price or the AT&T monopoly… Well, I guess you’ll have to pick up an iWipe and wait a little longer…

Introducing the first 3rd party application for the iPhone… Scenario Poker from Scenario Software. Now, the iPhone is not available until Friday at 6 pm and you most likely won’t be able to get one either.  If, by chance (and there are ways to increase your odds), you’re one of the lucky few to get an iPhone and you like poker, then this might be the first thing you load onto your shiny new iPhone.

OK… Have you ever been in a situation where you wished your cell phone would ring?. You’re on a first date and it isn’t going well. You need a way out… Or, you’d like to impress your friends by showing them how popular you are. With “The Popularity Dialer“, a web interface, you can choose to have your phone called at a particular time (or several times). At the selected time, your phone will be dialed and you will hear a prerecorded message that’s one half of a conversation. Thus, you will be prompted to have a fake conversation and will easily fool those around you. How cool is that! And… it’s FREE! Just enter your cell number, pick a the time and what type of fake phone call you want. It’s that simple. Just make sure you answer the phone…

Goog-411

Google Voice Local Search is Google’s experimental service to make local-business search accessible over the phone.
To try this service, just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) from any phone.
Using this service, you can:

  • search for a local business by name or category … You can say “Giovanni’s Pizzeria” or just “pizza”.
  • get connected to the business, free of charge.
  • get the details by SMS if you’re using a mobile phone … Just say “text message”.

And it’s free. Google doesn’t charge you a thing for the call or for connecting you to the business. Regular phone charges may apply, based on your telephone service provider.

Check out more about this new service at Google Labs.
