French entrepreneur Romain Jarry has come up with a new way to wash and fluff Fido. Just load him into the Dog-o-Matic and let the groovy grooming begin. This doggy washing machine was originally introduced in St. Max, France and was such a success that the inventor hopes to bring this pint-sized pet wash to Britain in 2010. How it works: Select the desired wash cycle and dog size (prices start at around $20 for small dogs, up to $45 for larger breeds)Place your dog in the machine and press startWait as your pet goes through the washing and drying cylesThe washing itself is quick, but the drying time takes a bit longer. You can even clean cats, though I have a feeling that won’t go over so well with the feline persuasion. The inventor insists the animals do not suffer any discomfort while in the Dog-o-Matic. I certainly hope so, but judging from the pawsitively terrified look of that doggie in the window, I may have to keep washing my pooch the traditional way…at least for now. Via Craziest Gadgets, Daily Mail 5 Comments » Posted by: technogeek in Pets I have two very old cats (15 and 19 years old) and know that cutting their nails can be very difficult.
Trimming a pet’s nails at times irrespective of the age can be challenging. However the older they get, the more sensitive they tend to be around people touching their paws and nails. Last week while sitting in the dentist office, I saw an advertisement for PediPaws, a device that will help me with my nail trimming challenges. With PediPaws, it is easy for you to trim the nails of your pet without any pain. Traditional nail clippers are not precise and at times can cause your pet pain. The technology behind this device allows you to precisely control the instrument so that the nails of your pet are trimmed quickly and gently. Sounds like the perfect solution for my problem. Specifications

One may first assume that all dogs can naturally swim, hence the doggy paddle… but, some may not be able to because of injury or physical reasons. And remember, just because your animal is a dog, don’t think it can swim on it’s own forever! Just like humans, they get tired and drown. If your taking your dog down river or just out fishing on the lake, if you are wearing a life vest, then the dog should too. The Fido Float is a closed cell foam vest that provides ample buoyancy, while its U shaped collar keeps your dog’s head above water. There is also an assistance handle for helping your pet out of the water or if you just need to grab your dog quickly. The dog life vest is easy to take on and off (even while wet) and is made to withstand ruff water conditions to resist wear and tear. Highlights: - The stylish swim aid for dogs
- Contour fit dog life vest helps your dog float
- Specially placed handles make it easier to pick your pet up out of the water
- Full length zipper makes Fido Float easy to put on and take off
- Lightweight and durable
- Offered in sizes for every canine companion
